Let’s Reach Our Attendance Goal Together!
BCMS is aiming for an average of 95% daily attendance this year! We completely understand that sickness and other important situations come up, but when students are able to be in school, they learn best in our classrooms, surrounded by their teachers and peers. Thank you for helping us prioritize attendance and making every day count for your child’s learning!
Welcome Back! I hope you are all feeling rested and rejuvenated from Spring Break. We have one quarter left in this school year and it is arguably the most important one! You will be preparing to take your ISAT tests, completing projects and taking end of course final assessments. This is the time to stay focused and productive. Let's finish the year strong!

It has been a year of major developments across the Red Planet. Under the leadership of Valhalla, now serving its first year as head of the Martian Senate, life on the surface appears calm. Yet whispers across the colonies suggest that not everything happening behind the scenes is as peaceful as it seems.
In a bold move, the Senate approved a measure allowing Onoma to invest taxpayer funds into a large-scale drone technology and production program. Supporters claim this will launch a new golden age of trade. Critics warn it could weaken the economic power of Maroon Moon and Nova Terra, shifting the balance of influence.
Meanwhile, Crimson Vanguard faced a financial collapse and was forced to declare bankruptcy. In a decisive move, Valhalla purchased the struggling colony, expanding its reach and strengthening its position as one of the most powerful forces on Mars.
The year closes with a moment of uncertainty that has captured the attention of every citizen. A formal ambassadorial committee from Europa has arrived to meet with the Martian president. Their purpose remains unknown, and all eyes now turn to Valhalla to determine what this visit could mean for the future of Mars.

Attendance at one live performance and a one page paper describing your experience is required for this class. One option for that performance is The Prince and the Pauper, the after school show, presented at the Becker Auditorium on March 12, 13, and 14 at 7:00PM and March 14 at 2:00PM. You will be given a complimentary ticket to one performance of this show. (If you are participating in the show this will count toward this requirement.) If you cannot attend this show, any other live performance that you attend in person will work for this assignment.
Drama Class Performance will be on May 14th at 6:00PM. You must be at the auditorium no later than 5:15PM. You can stay after school and dinner will be provided before getting ready. Spring is in the air, and it’s the perfect time for a fresh start with a good book! 🌷📚 As the days get longer and the weather warms up, the library is full of great reads waiting to be discovered. Whether you’re interested in adventure, mystery, sports, animals, or learning something new, there’s a book for everyone.
Spring is also a great time to try something different—pick a book from a new genre, explore a nonfiction topic you’re curious about, or check out a series you haven’t read before. Stop by the library, browse the shelves, and let a new story brighten your day.
Happy reading and happy spring! 🌼📖
Happy reading!
