Meet Ms. Krause!
Hi everyone! My name is Trista Krause, and I am so excited to be part of your child’s learning journey this year! I earned my degree in Childhood Education along with advanced certifications in Students with Disabilities and Early Childhood Education.
I have experience working with students of many different ages and abilities through student teaching placements and my work as a one-to-one paraprofessional at Western Suffolk BOCES. These experiences strengthened my passion for creating a classroom environment where every child feels supported, included, and encouraged to succeed.
Growing up with an older sister who has special needs inspired me to pursue a career in education and helped shape my belief that every student learns in their own unique way. My goal is to create a positive and welcoming classroom where students feel safe, confident, and excited to learn each day.
I love incorporating creativity and technology into lessons using tools such as Google Slides, Kahoot, Padlet, and Canva to make learning engaging and interactive for students. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy drawing, crafting, and creating projects with my Cricut machine.
My Teaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy is centered around meeting students where they are at academically, socially, emotionally, and behaviorally. I believe every child learns differently and deserves to feel valued, supported, and encouraged in the classroom. I strive to create a safe and inclusive learning environment where students feel comfortable being themselves, asking questions, and taking risks while learning.
I believe strong relationships, patience, flexibility, and consistent support are key to helping students succeed. My goal is to create a positive classroom community where all students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally while building confidence in themselves as learners.
