Students

For students to be able to read, interpret and analyze historical texts.

For students to be able to think, examine, and write like a historian; being able to apply historical context and not just recite facts from rote memorization

For students to acquire and/or foster an interest in history.  An interest in the subject will consequently allow students to perform well in the class.

To provide a classroom environment where everyone feels respected, safe and welcomed.

To be more than just a history teacher, I would like to be a role model and someone who can be a positive influence in the students' lives.
