'A' Day

Good morning!

• The boys Varsity Soccer team beat Lakeland 6-0 last night to take possession of the 1 seed for Class AA last night. Nick Portanova led the team with 2 goals and 3 assists, with Jack Rothmann, Michael Oteng, Chris Flanagan, and Ramsey Canafe all scoring goals. Bryce Richardson and Hawi Odongo added assists in a great team effort! Support the team on Thursday against Brewster at 5 PM for Senior Night!

• James Madison University and Sacred Heart University will be in the College & Career Center TODAY during periods 5-8. All are welcome! 

• The RICE Club is meeting after school TODAY in room 249.  This Club creates an environment where students of African, Caribbean, and other ethnic backgrounds are authentically valued, empowered, and respected. Please join us!

• The Student Advisory Council will be meeting on Thursday, October 8, in room 215 at 2:05 PM. All are welcome. 

• Our Varsity Football Program will host their annual "Teacher Appreciation Day" this Friday. Varsity players will present an impactful teacher with a classic Mahopac Football Jersey tomorrow to be worn during the school day on Friday. 

• The Germans are coming! Six days from today, our German exchange students will start living with 24 MHS host families. Say hello when you see them in the hallway!  Did you know that it is not illegal to break out of prison in Germany, as long as no property or people are not damaged?

Important - All students should have their school ID - It will be required to enter bathrooms and the library. If you are in possession of another student's ID please turn it in immediately to the main office. Those found with an  ID that is not yours will face disciplinary action.

Reminder, if you are staying after school please make sure it is with a teacher who is offering extra help. You must remain with that teacher for the entire duration of after school (2:05-2:45). If you have STEP please wait in the front main entrance until 2:45 if you do not have a teacher to stay with. Let's do our best to keep these hallways clear after school, Pac!

An important message for all students who ride the bus home- BUSES are to be leaving by 2:07 PM. You have 5 minutes to get to your bus before it leaves. Please make sure you head to your bus at dismissal, by standing around and hanging out in and outside of the building we are causing the entire district transportation to run behind. 2:07, be on that bus!
