Mahidol University has integrated government welfare with the services provided by the university. Every time students receive services, they are required to present their student ID card (either the physical card or the Virtual ID Card from the We Mahidol Application) along with their national ID card (for Thai students) or passport (for international students) so that the healthcare facility can verify their eligibility before providing services.
Mahidol University Health Services
The guidelines for student health services at Mahidol University include the following:
Students can request to transfer their National Health Security entitlement to Mahidol University-affiliated hospitals (Siriraj Hospital or Ramathibodi Hospital) during their period of study.
Students can receive medical treatment for physical and mental health issues, including dental care, at Mahidol University-affiliated hospitals, within a treatment cost limit of 30,000 baht per person per academic year.
Students are entitled to financial assistance in the event of losing any part of their body, rendering them unable to continue their studies, or in the case of death.
International students will receive additional insurance from Mahidol University to compensate for the government welfare benefits that do not cover international students.
