About ICAGS-2023
Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology for Green and Sustainable Future is broad and interdisciplinary. It encompasses a wide range of topics related to the development, characterization, and utilization of advanced materials and nanotechnology for addressing sustainability challenges. It will focus on the latest advancements and applications of materials and nanotechnology in various fields, such as energy, environment, healthcare, and electronics. It may cover topics like sustainable materials, nanoscale engineering, renewable energy solutions, environmentally friendly manufacturing processes, and innovative nanomaterial-based devices. The conference aims to bring together experts, researchers, and industry professionals to exchange knowledge, discuss challenges, and explore potential solutions for creating a sustainable future through advanced materials and nanotechnology.
About the College
Maharaja’s College, a Government Autonomous College with the good repute of being one of the five centers of Excellence in the state of Kerala, was established in the year 1875. From its extremely modest beginning as an elementary English school that was founded way back in 1845 in the former princely state of Cochin, Maharaja’s College grew in stature, slowly but steadily over the decades, to its present status of “Centre of Excellence” conferred by the Government of Kerala and a “College with Potential for Excellence” recognized by the University Grants Commission. This special grade college affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University offers 17 Ph.D. programmes, 20 Under Graduate , 22 Post Graduate , one Integrated PG programme, and one Diploma and Certificate programmes.

About the Department
Post Graduate and Research Department of Chemistry, Maharaja’s College, Ernakulam came into existence in the year 1935. Starting with a B.Sc course at the time of genesis, the department has grown up as an excellent teaching center for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and a research center, in the Government sector under the Mahatma Gandhi University. Presently the department offers four post graduate programmes M.Sc Chemistry, M.Sc. Pharmaceutical Chemistry, M.Sc Applied Chemistry (Fats, Oils and Aromatics) and M.Sc Analytical Chemistry. A three-year under graduate programme in Environment & Water Management was started in 1993 besides the existing conventional degree programme in Chemistry.
