MSA will showcase a discussion from the field on moving forward with equity at the forefront and ensuring cultural competencies in all of our magnet classrooms and schools. Audience members will hear a discussion around practitioner’s intentions, practice, and vision in:
creating systems that are more equitable
giving voice to diverse perspectives
practices or protocols ensuring equity
intentional planning that can translate to shifts in pedagogical practice

Dr. Mary Conage
Dr. Mary Conage is a veteran educator who has served as a teacher, instructional coach, curriculum supervisor, and Title I Director. She currently serves as Director of Special Projects with Pinellas County Schools, Florida. Throughout her 33-year career, her passion has remained centered on teaching and learning. She particularly enjoys facilitating professional learning experiences that focus on equity and culturally responsive instruction.
