SERVICES
Do you struggle with anxiety, depression, insomnia, or post-traumatic symptoms? If so, I want to hear about it! Have you tried therapy before but didn’t connect with the therapist, felt uncomfortable, didn’t feel heard, or is this your first-time seeking therapy? If so, I want to help! Even if you aren’t sure if therapy is right for you, let’s talk about it! Together we can learn skills to help better manage daily stressors and improve your overall sense of well-being!
I currently offer two virtual groups:
Teen Girls Therapy Group:
For teens ages 13-17.
Groups run 6-8 weeks for 60-90 minutes and can have up to 8 members.
Mom2Mom Support Group for Mothers:
For mothers of newborns to 6 years of age.
Groups run 6-8 weeks for 60-90 minutes and can have up to 8 members.
Both enrolling now and will begin in August. A pre-group consultation session will be scheduled to determine fit for group participation. Some insurances do cover group therapy costs. Self-pay rate for groups is $40 per session.
The Emotional Support Animal (ESA) Evaluation is completed through a clinical interview where individuals will be assessed for mental health diagnosis.
Did you know that only licensed mental health professionals or physicians can provide Emotional Support Animal letters? Online services that provide letters for a fee without talking to a licensed professional are not valid letters.
Pets can help individuals cope with mental health concerns by offering emotional support and comfort. If you meet criteria for a mental health diagnosis in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual 5 (DSM 5) you may qualify for an ESA.
If you’re in need of a valid letter to protect and grant accommodations for you and your pet under the Fair Housing Amendments Act of 1988, I can help!
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) is proven to be a highly effective, first-line treatment for chronic sleep issues! Some of the benefits of CBT-I include:
•Improved sleep in 70-80% of insomnia patients
•Reduction or elimination of sleeping pill use in 90% of patients
•Improvement of co-morbid conditions such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD
•Longer lasting effects compared to sleep medications
•Relief in as little as 5-8 sessions
Are you ready for insomnia relief without meds?
Sports Performance Counseling is a specialized field in which trained clinicians work with athletes to improve their overall well-being, mental functioning, and physical performance.
Sports Performance work can help college, professional, and elite athletes overcome the many mental hurdles athletes are subjected to. Some common challenges for athletes that can impact performance and lead to more serious mental health issues include sports related injuries, grief and loss of a teammate, and academic challenges.
Sports performance work can also help athletes increase confidence, motivation, focus, gain a mental advantage over other athletes, and help to achieve that "next level" performance (college, professional, etc.).
Athletes of all sports are welcome (baseball, softball, cheer, dance, soccer, football, basketball, etc.)
trauma is anything that overwhelms the brains ability to cope! trauma informed care is for individuals struggling with any and all types of symptoms related to traumatic events.
I am trained and skilled in evidenced based trauma therapies including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PET). These treatments aim to provide ways to understand why recovery from traumatic events has been difficult and how symptoms of PTSD affect daily life.
CPT and PET are both effective at treating PTSD for veterans and civilians.
CPT and PET work well for a variety of traumas including combat, sexual assualt, and domestic violence.
CPT and PET are short term treatments lasting 8-15 weeks.
I received my training through the Strong Star Training Initiative. The Strong Star Training Initiative trains veteran-serving community mental health providers in evidence-based treatments for PTSD and related mental health problems in order to increase access to high-quality care.
Crisis services are for the individuals struggling with suicidal ideation, self-injury, and/or intrusive thoughts.
I am trained and skilled in crisis intervention and prevention. I utilize evidenced based treatments including Crisis Response Planning to reduce symptoms. I am not the therapist that is going to send you straight to a hospital. As a trained clinician equipped to handle high-risk clients, my goal is to keep clients out of the hospital and/or from needing a higher level of care.
