WHAT'S KINTSUGI?
Kintsugi (金継ぎ), meaning "golden joinery" in Japanese, is the art of repairing broken ceramics and other objects with lacquer, often using gold, silver, or other metal powders to accentuate the cracks. Rather than hiding or trying to conceal the damage, kintsugi celebrates the history of the object by making the cracks visible and even beautiful.
We opted for "Fake Kintsugi" by using epoxy glue and natural pigments of different colours.
