THE LIFE AND OPINION OF TRISTAM SHANDY, GENTLEMAN

In this video you can find an analysis of the novel.

In this novel there is not a real story, just a sequence of scenes. The narrator, as the protagonist, tells the story of the latter. In the first part of the story he talks about the contrasts between his father and his mother and most of the plot is focused on domestic fight and misunderstandings because everybody must conform to their role in society and misunderstandings occur because standards are ridiculous and too complex to be respected.
