My husband and I founded our corporation February 2019 with the mindset that our daughter, Madison, will need a new path for her next level of development. Art has proven to be a viable tool for bridging the gap between her non-verbal world and the rest of the world.
Art is Madison’s way of expressing her thoughts. Instead of conversing, she draws. Madison’s world of imagination, creation, and expression gives her the comfort she needs to cope with the grip of Autism. Not only myself, but Madison’s many teachers and therapists throughout the years, have used her many drawings as an accommodation to further her development.
At Madison’s Avenue, we value the way that art can enrich your life. Whether it be the perfect décor for your home, or a piece of art that a loved one made for you, we know that these special items are the ones with the most meaning. We are a thrift store where people can find that perfect piece, as well as buy and donate second hand furniture, home décor, clothing, and more.
We will strive to make our store a special place to shop and help spread awareness for this cause. Through Madison’s art, we want to help advocate for other autistic people in our community and show that others with similar talents on the autism spectrum can acquire a more meaningful place in the community and find a place in the workforce.
