Hello! My name is Valarie Delli Paoli and I am a Kindergarten teacher. I have been teaching for twenty-four years! My first teaching position was at a private school teaching first grade. After 2 years, I was ready to move on to teach at a public school. I was offered a first grade teaching position at Central Avenue School, where I spent the next 20 years teaching first, fourth and second grade. Beginning in 2022, I was so happy to be joining the Torey J. Sabatini School community! I taught second grade at TJS.
Although I am new to teaching at TJS I am not new to this school. I’ve lived in Madison my whole life and I actually attended TJS as my elementary school. Later, I also attended MJS and MHS. I am a very proud Madisonian!
I hold two Master of Arts degrees in Teaching from Fairleigh Dickinson University; the first in Elementary Education and the Second in Literacy. Additionally, I obtained several certifications as a Literacy Specialist and Teacher of Students with Disabilities.
I knew I wanted to be a teacher from a very young age, because I used to play teacher with my stuffed animals, almost daily! I would sometimes even bring home my textbooks and pretend to teach from them! I love being a teacher, every day is an adventure filled with learning for my students AND for me! One of the greatest rewards of teaching is seeing the progress of your students. It is so rewarding to help children reach their full potential.
My husband, Mike and I have three beautiful children. My oldest son, Santino, is in sixth grade, and will attend the Junior School for the first time. My younger two, Amalia and Arlo, are twins in Third Grade at Central Avenue School. Aside from teaching and when I rarely find the time, I really enjoy sipping tea, reading and baking. One of my favorite places to be is in Ortley Beach, where we have a beach house.
I look forward to my time teaching at TJS with other wonderful dedicated teachers and amazing students!
