What's it like to live through a pandemic? Usually, we could use primary resources and history books to get that information. Unfortunately, we now have a firsthand understanding.
What did we learn? What knowledge or advice can we pass on to posterity?
Our school modeled this project after The Decameron by Giovianni Boccaccio, who wrote his frame story told from the perspective of young men and women taking shelter in a villa during the Black Plague in the 14th century.
Join us for this Open House for MECHS students and their families. Students will show families around the school and discuss their challenge-based learning projects. Students have created a book called Modern Decameron Journals, which will be available for autographs at this event.
Light refreshments and entertainment will be provided. Masks are required.
