Meet Miss Marotta

Welcome to 5th Grade ELA!

I am Miss Marotta, and I am thrilled to be back at MTA! This is my seventh year teaching.  I have spent most of my time in fifth grade, with one year in fourth grade, and I truly love this age group.

Like many, I am not a native Arizonian. I lived in Albany, New York, for most of my life. After college, I spent two years living outside of New York City, working in the Pelham Schools as a graduate intern. I hold a Master’s degree in Elementary and Special Education from Iona College and a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Marist College. During COVID, I decided on a whim that Arizona was calling my name! I moved here in July 2020 and have never looked back.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, exercising, and volunteering. I am a huge animal lover, and this summer my boyfriend and I welcomed a long-haired dachshund puppy into our family!
