Assessment Templates and Structure

Developing assessments that use the same features and structures of the state assessment allows us to ensure that students are developing the assessment capable skills that they need to demonstrate their proficiency. It helps to ensure that performance on the assessment is not limited based on their exposure to the testing structure. These templates were designed to help teams develop assessments together that ensure items are congruent with the state standards and with the types of items and structures with the Kentucky Summative Assessment.

MCS RD Assessment Template

Reading

This template was developed for the reading assessment and is built around the use of individual items on questions and items that ask students to draw on their understanding of multiple passages. This template allows the user to include the passages, items, item types and other relevant information.
