EXPECTATIONS

ALL WHITEHORSE SCHOOL RULES APPLY DURING AFTERSCHOOL

Students must actively and willingly participate in the scheduled activity that they signed up to attend for the duration of our program. If a student is not doing so, they will be given one warning and may be suspended from returning to our program if they do not show their active and willing participation following that warning. 

Respect self, peers, staff, and environment at all times.

Inappropriate behavior (play fight, swearing, running in hallway, etc.) is not allowed.

Students must follow all staff instructions.

No bullying; after school is a safe space for everyone.

No cell phones or unauthorized use of chromebook during after school.

Students must remain in assigned areas at all times .

Students may not leave school and then return for after school clubs.

Students must have staff permission and be accompanied by staff to move between areas. 

There is zero tolerance for theft. 

Food is only allowed in food areas.

Clothing must be appropriate for after school and follow school dress code.

All program rules and expectations remain in place on the bus or other transportation home. 

3 Warning Policy:

Student may receive up to 3 warnings per day prior to being suspended from after school programming. 

Warnings are given when any of the rules are broken and student does not follow redirection instruction from staff. 

1st Warning: Students name recorded on warning sheet and redirection given by Program Leaders

2nd Warning: Student’s name recorded on warning sheet and redirection given by Director’s Team

3rd Warning: One on one meeting with student and Ms. Lauren to discuss next steps

4th Warning: Student will be suspended from the after-school program

*Suspension duration will be determined on a case by case basis. If a student is suspended, parent/guardian will receive notification via email and phone call from Ms. Lauren

TODAS LAS REGLAS DE LA ESCUELA WHITEHORSE SE APLICAN DURANTE DESPUÉS DE LA ESCUELA

Hay que respetar siempre a uno propio, a sus pares, al personal y al ambiente como un todo.

No se permite ningún comportamiento inapropiado (peleas simuladas, groserías, correr en los pasillos, etc.).

Los estudiantes tienen que seguir todas las instrucciones del personal.

Nada de bullying; el afterschool es un espacio seguro para todos.

No se pueden usar los celulares y no se puede usar sin autorización previa el Chromebook durante afterschool.

Los estudiantes tienen que permanecer en las áreas que les son asignadas durante todo el periodo del programa

Los estudiantes no pueden irse de la escuela y después volver a los clubes de afterschool.

Los estudiantes necesitan permiso del personal y ser acompañados por ellos para moverse entre distintas áreas.

No se tolera el robo.

 La comida solamente se permite en áreas designadas para comer.

 La ropa tiene que ser apropiada para afterschool y tiene que seguir el código de vestimenta de la escuela.

Todas las reglas y expectativas del programa permanecen vigentes en el autobús o en cualquier otro transporte a casa.

Póliza de 3 Advertencias:

Un estudiante puede recibir 3 advertencias máximo por día antes de quedar suspendido de la programación de afterschool.

Se dan advertencias cuando se rompe alguna regla y el estudiante no sigue la orientación del personal del programa.

Primera advertencia: Se escribe el nombre del estudiante en una lista de advertencias y le reorientan los Líderes del Programa.

Segunda advertencia:  Se escribe el nombre del estudiante en una lista de advertencias y le orienta el Equipo del Director/a

Tercera advertencia: Una reunión uno a uno entre el estudiante y la Señorita Lauren para hablar de los próximos pasos.

Cuarta advertencia: El estudiante se suspende del programa de afterschool.

*La duración de la suspensión se determina caso por caso. Si se suspende un estudiante, el padre/tutor recibirá una notificación por email y una llamada telefónica de la Señorita Lauren.
