When is after school programming available?

Monday - Thursday, 2:20-4:30pm until the end of the school year. No programming will take place on non-school days or early release days unless stated otherwise.

How do I join after school programming?

After school programming is a drop-in service: No sign-up is required ahead of time & we welcome all students to join us whenever they'd like (as long as their family knows & approves). Students in after school programming will stay upstairs in the Quad after school for attendance and then head downstairs for snack and programming.

Can I go to the gas station & get a snack or hang with my friends until open rec time starts?

No. If you leave the building after school or don't do attendance up in the Quad with us right after school, you are not allowed to come back inside/join programming later on.

How do I join a club?

If you want to join a club you should:

·       Coordinate transportation with your guardian if it's after school

·       Check the schedule for where and when it meets

·       Show up for the club

Do we have a ____ club?

Check the club schedule, all active clubs will be on the calendar.  If you don’t see it, it isn’t currently offered. Clubs are posted on the 'Clubs' tab as well as the 'Schedule' tab.

What if I want to start a club?

Let Sydney know! She will try to find an adult to lead it.

Do you provide support for students with in Special Education?

We do. MSCR has two full-time Inclusion Services Coordinators that Site Director's work with to ensure that reasonable requests and needs are met for students who need it. Jill Jaworski (jjaworski1@madison.k12.wi.us) oversees Spring Harbor. Contacting Jill would be a great first step in creating an after school support plan for your student if it's needed.

Can I get a ride home after my activity?

If lack of transportation is preventing you from participating in clubs have your parent or guardian contact your school MSCR director.

Are we going to have a ____ sports team this year?

Intramural sports with a set season. Practices and competitions are dependent on a combination of student interest and the availability of coaches. We won’t know if we have a team until we are able to find a coach for that particular sport. 

What’s the difference between (name your sport) club and the (name your sport) team? 

Teams require you to sign up and have a combination of practices and competitions. Clubs are drop in and don’t compete against other schools.
