Event Duration: 2 Hours
Join us for Madison West’s first red carpet (yes, we actually have a red carpet) film festival, celebrating student voices and their powerful storytelling of local and Wisconsin history.
Explore local Madison and Wisconsin history through a series of student produced documentaries that showcase original research, diverse perspectives, and community voices. Each film reflects the students’ work, from conducting interviews and gathering stories, to filming and editing their final projects. This event is a collaboration between Madison West High School and PBS’s Youth Media Project. Parents, students, Madison West faculty and staff, interviewees, and all community members are invited to enjoy Our City, Our Voices, featuring 12 short documentaries selected by students’ peers. Audience members will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite film, with the top selection receiving a Reggie Award.
