Madison School & Community Recreation is proud to partner with Girls Inc. of Greater Madison to bring you weekly virtual Girls Inc. Club!
MSCR has proudly partnered with Girls Inc. of Greater Madison for the past six years to make Girls Inc. accessible to MSCR participants.
Girls Inc. empowers girls to succeed by providing trusting mentoring relationships, a girls-only environment, and research-based, hands-on programming. Three critical goals drive our programming: to help girls achieve healthy lives, succeed academically, and acquire the life skills needed to prepare them for adulthood. We work to ensure that girls have the skills, knowledge, and support to appreciate and take on a variety of leadership roles, and be independent thinkers. Any child that identifies as a girl is welcome and invited to participate.
This partnership is made possible by a 21st Century Community Learning Center grant and registration and participation is FREE. Families will gain access to weekly virtual recorded content that explores a "community advocacy" theme and activities that help inspire girls to be STRONG, SMART and BOLD. Club sessions will be uploaded on Monday and can be completed independently during the week. All topics and activities will be developed with grades 2nd - 5th in mind. Each session will be approximately 45 minutes with time to complete activities. Live Zoom events and virtual field trips may be offered.
