Schools of Hope Tutoring

What Do We Do?

SOH is a partnership with MMSD, MSCR, the Urban League of Greater Madison, and the United Way of Dane County.

Our volunteer tutors undergo background checks, interviews, and training to ensure they are prepared to work with your student in the virtual world.

The focus is to provide math and literacy tutoring, but tutors can be placed within any class.

Students and tutors will meet at least once a week within the video platform the class uses (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.), or during our After School Homework Club.

You can request a tutor for your student here and you can find more information about the Schools of Hope Program here.

Teachers and MSCR Program Director work together to pair students with helpful, engaging volunteer tutors

If your student has been paired with a tutor, you will receive an email notification.

If you or your student would like to request a tutor, please fill out this form.
