These trips are an introduction to tent camping, and will include instruction on tent setup, fire building, Leave No Trace, and camp cooking.
Students are not required to have any camping experience and all equipment is provided by MSCR.

Eligibility requirement for camping trips:
Students must be available for the full scheduled time.
Students must have participated in at least two previous OAC programs.
For July 9-10 students must have participated in at least one previous OAC kayaking program.

Outdoor Adventure Club is offering a wilderness canoeing and camping experience at Sylvania Wilderness near Watersmeet, Michigan for a limited number of participants in August. This 4-day, 3-night trip will be led by an experienced wilderness guide. All equipment and food is provided by MSCR.

Depart Wednesday August 6 at 10:00 am
Return Saturday August 9 at 6:00 pm (approximately)
Eligibility requirements for the Sylvania Wilderness camping trip:
Must be available for the entire 4 days/3 nights
Must attend at least two other Outdoor Adventure Club summer trips:
Level 1 - canoeing
June 25, July 21, July 28-29, or prior experience canoeing with OAC
Level 2 - overnight camping
July 9-10 or July 28-29
Note: Space for the Sylvania Wilderness canoe camping trip is limited to 9 participants. Registration will not be first come, first served. If more eligible students request to attend than the capacity, students will be selected by application. Complete initial registration by June 12.
