Families - Remember to watch for ParentSquare messages for most up to date announcements.
The MSCR Black Hawk program has outlined a behavior plan that gives each scholar 3 warnings/day prior to being suspended from our program. Warnings are given when any of the rules are broken and redirection is not followed.
1st Warning: Scholar's name recorded on warning sheet & redirection given by Program Leaders
2nd Warning: Scholar's name recorded on warning sheet & a “Fix-It” form must be completed
3rd Warning: Scholar's name recorded on warning sheet & 1:1 with Mr. Lane and “Fix-It” form is reevaluated
Our staff’s role during this process is to reiterate to scholars that we want every Black Hawk scholar involved in programming, but they MUST follow the rules. If a scholar receives a 4th warning, they will be subject to a detention during or suspension from after-school program. Lengths of suspensions will be determined on a case by case basis. Should a suspension occur parents can expect a phone call & written notification from the Directors Team.
After-School Expectations/Behavior Plan:
1. Respect Self, Peers, Staff and Environment @ ALL TIMES.
2. Inappropriate Behavior (Play fighting, swearing, running in the hallway etc.) Not tolerated.
3. Scholars are expected to follow all staff directions.
4. Afterschool is a safe place for EVERYONE. Bullying is not accepted.
5. No electronics during staff announcements.
6. Scholars must remain in assigned areas at all times. Scholars must have staff permission & be escorted to move between areas.
7. ZERO TOLERANCE FOR THEFT.
8. Food should only be eaten in designated areas.
9. Clothing should be after-school appropriate.
10. All rules and expectations should be followed on the bus. Bus infractions will automatically result in a 2-day suspension.
