"Hello, Sherman Village! My name is Anthony Bacchi, and I am the school psychologist at Sherman Middle School. I believe I am an enthusiastic, empathetic, and caring individual who wants the best for all students at school. In my free time, I enjoy hiking with my fiance and dog, attending live sporting events, and trying new food!

I wear a lot of hats at school, but the overarching focus of my practices is to support students' social, emotional, and mental well-being. I strive to build life skills for students that they can use in and outside of the school setting, such that they can function as their best selves wherever they are. My belief is that students do well if they CAN, not if they want to, and I am constantly working with staff, students, and their families to determine which supports provide the student with the most opportunities to be successful. Additionally, I can be contacted if you have concerns with your child in any of these areas or if you'd like to learn more about Special Education and Section 504 plans. Please do not hesitate to reach out with questions about your scholar's academic, social, emotional, or mental health functioning!"

As Sherman's Social Worker, I support students in addressing any obstacles that might come between them and their education. This could include offering social and emotional support, working through any challenges at home or in the community, and providing a safe space for all students to process and receive the necessary resources.

One fun fact about me is . . . before becoming Sherman's Social Worker, I was one of the school's BRS for many years. As a result, I enjoy continuing to speak Spanish with any of our school's Spanish-speaking students and families!

I am Mr. Geurts, and I am the school counselor. If you struggle with other students or want support with a problem, I want you to feel comfortable talking with me. One fun fact about me is . . .  I was formally a minor-league baseball player.  

Hello! My name is Alex Hrkac-Budzisz (pronounced her-kitch boo-dish) and I am the nurse at Sherman Middle School.  I grew up about two hours from Madison on the shores of Lake Michigan. Madison has been my home for 8 years now, minus one year spent living out West with my wonderful wife Ally. In my free time I like to cook, eat, run, ride bikes, read books, and learn about history and philosophy. 

My name is Ms. Joelle. I can be found Nurse's Office. I will be there to help you out with your medical needs.

Hello!  My name is Lindsey Salamone Jones and I am the Dean of Students at Sherman Middle School!  I have been in education for 16 years.  Prior to becoming the Dean of Students, I taught sixth grade, fifth grade, second grade, and first grade in Madison, Sun Prairie, and New York City schools!   

A fun fact about me is that my children will attend Sherman Middle School in the upcoming years.  I can't wait to meet all of our new Sherman Scholars!
