Rather than viewing graduation losses as a setback, the program has actively recruited new talent and is focusing on developing the next generation of competitive scholars.
One of the most exciting developments for the program is the emphasis on building a strong junior high team. By introducing younger students to the competitive world of Quiz Bowl early, the program is creating a pipeline of knowledgeable and experienced participants who will be ready to compete at a high level once they reach high school. Madison C-3 Junior High Basketball Shows Promise for the Future
Madison C-3's junior high basketball programs had an exciting season on the hardwood, with both the boys and girls teams demonstrating impressive growth and determination. The junior high boys benefited from continuity as they saw the return of Coach Hardin, who brought back his proven coaching methods and built upon the foundation established last year. Meanwhile, the junior high Lady Panthers stepped onto the court with a fresh perspective under new coach Franklin, who brought new energy and strategies to the program.
Both teams showed significant increases in enthusiasm and effort throughout the season, making their presence known on the court. Their hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed—competing teams quickly recognized that Madison C-3's junior high programs are developing serious talent and instilling a strong work ethic in their young athletes.
The development these players are experiencing at the junior high level is exciting news for the future of Madison C-3 basketball. The skills, teamwork, and competitive spirit being cultivated now will soon matriculate to the high school hardwood, where these athletes will continue to represent the Panthers with pride and determination.
As these young players continue to grow and refine their abilities, the Madison C-3 community can look forward to watching them develop into the varsity athletes of tomorrow. The foundation being built in junior high basketball promises a bright future for Panther basketball at all levels.
Junior High Cheer
Madison C-3 Junior High Cheerleaders Bring Energy and Spirit
Madison C-3's junior high cheerleading squad had an outstanding season under the leadership of Coach Painter, who was assisted by Coach Thrasher. Coach Thrasher will be heading up the high school cheer squad, and her involvement with the junior high team provided valuable mentorship and ensured a smooth transition for these young athletes as they progress through the program.
Throughout the season, the junior high cheerleaders worked diligently on perfecting their synchronization and developing nice, loud voices that could energize the crowd. Their dedication to practice and attention to detail showed in their performances, as they executed their routines with increasing precision and confidence.

Boys Varsity Basketball
Madison C-3 Varsity Boys Basketball: Building Momentum Under Coach Hardin
The Madison C-3 varsity boys basketball team is making waves this season with a deep bench and a roster loaded with talent. Boasting several seniors who provide veteran leadership and a strong group of juniors ready to contribute, the Panthers have the depth and experience needed to compete at a high level.
The team has been turning heads across their schedule, giving concern to several opponents who didn't expect Madison C-3 to come out and play with such intensity and skill. The Panthers are proving that they cannot be taken lightly, competing hard in every game and showing that they belong on the court with anyone they face.
One of the advantages of having a deep roster is the opportunity to develop younger players, and Coach Hardin has taken full advantage of this throughout the season. Several JV quarters have been played during games, providing invaluable training and real game experience for younger athletes. This floor time is crucial for player development and ensures that the program's future remains bright as these players gain confidence and skills.
In his second year at the helm, Coach Hardin is building significant momentum within the program. The team clearly understands his expectations both on and off the court—emphasizing effort, discipline, and commitment. This culture of accountability and hard work is translating into improved performance and a competitive spirit that defines Panther basketball.
As the season progresses, the Madison C-3 community is excited to see how far this talented and deep team can go. With strong leadership, dedicated players, and a coach who knows how to build a winning program, the future looks promising for Panther basketball.
Girls Varsity Basketball
Madison C-3 Lady Panthers Basketball: Building for the Future
The Madison C-3 high school girls basketball team is navigating a rebuilding season under first-year head coach Franklin. With a small roster of just six players—three juniors and three freshmen—the Lady Panthers face unique challenges that require every team member to step up and contribute significantly.
The limited roster means stamina on the court is absolutely essential. These six athletes must be in excellent physical shape to handle the demands of playing extended minutes throughout each game. Managing defensive fouls has become a critical aspect of their strategy, as staying out of foul trouble is necessary to ensure all players can remain in the game. With no depth on the bench, every player's presence on the court is vital.
The experience and leadership of the three junior players are proving invaluable during this growth year. However, the three freshmen are being asked to contribute in a major way, taking on responsibilities that typically come later in a high school career. This accelerated development is challenging but will serve them well as they continue their basketball journey at Madison C-3.
While the wins haven't come yet this season, what the Lady Panthers are building goes beyond the scoreboard. The team's development and competitive attitude demonstrate their resilience and determination. Coach Franklin is laying a foundation that emphasizes fundamentals, teamwork, and mental toughness—qualities that will benefit this young squad as they gain experience and grow together. The Madison C-3 community recognizes the hard work these six athletes are putting in and looks forward to watching their continued progress.
