It is an honor to serve the students at Riverton Intermediate School. I can't wait to get to know each and every one of you!
I grew up in South Florida and attended Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, TN where I gained my degree in Elementary Education. There I met my husband and we moved here to Huntsville. We have two children ages 9 and 6. I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, reading, playing outside with my kids, and we are very active in the church. I have found much joy serving in the role of school counselor at RIS. It is a true privilege to work with 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. These years in the life of a child can be very overwhelming as they experience changes from lower elementary years to upper elementary years. My goal is to prepare every student socially, academically, and emotionally for present and future challenges.
I taught third grade for 6 years at Riverton Elementary, pursued my masters degree and made the transition to Riverton Intermediate in 2013.
Hello! My name is Morgan Isom, and I am the school counselor for grades 4-6. My job is to help students be successful in the areas of academics, career exploration, and social/emotional development. This will be my third year working at RIS, and I have also worked in the high-school setting for three years. I attended Auburn University for both my undergraduate and graduate studies (War Eagle!). I am happily married to my husband Clyde, and we have two little girls- Ruby James and Daisy Kate. We also have a fur baby that we adore. In my spare time, I like spending time with my family, watching Netflix, reading, and taking trips to new places. I am so excited to get to know all of your students! Go Wolves!
