Three years after the sudden loss of her father, young and successful fashion consultant Jade Black hits rock bottom. The series follows her as she navigates grief after slipping into alcoholism. Everything she’s worked so hard for begins to fall apart. Jade is faced with a choice: let grief destroy it all or rise, grow, and redeem herself. Jade’s journey is one of resilience, humor, and reinvention. And through it all, she does it with a healthy dose of comedy and, of course, exceptional FASHION.

Paris is an actress, model and writer based out of Los Angeles, CA. Originally from Columbus, Ohio. Paris decided to write Legally Black when Abai (her husband) expressed his desire to shoot a dope project starring her and Directed by him. While doing the background actor dance called "Hurry up and wait" for a show called "Criminal minds" in November 2024, Paris decided to open her laptop and seize the moment to start writing. She allowed the story to tell itself through a multitude of personal experiences ,life lessons and random hilarious moments. Eager to finish, they began pre - production in January 2025!
Fun Fact: The day Paris started writing she was wearing a "Jade" colored silk top. That detail sparked the name of the main character.
DIRECTOR / PRODUCER
Abai is a Director, Producer and creator based out of Los Angeles, CA. Originally from Miami, Florida. Abai is no stranger to curating his own projects and stepping out on faith when it comes to his art. He released his first short film called "Justified Homicide" in 2022 and has worked on many major studio projects. One of his latest is called "Forever" which can be seen on Netflix. While working on major stages is a Joy for him, Abai has learned that in order to be acknowledge for who he is and who he moved to Los Angeles to be, he must produce and direct his own projects. He is a firm believer that seeing is believing!
Fun Fact: Abai bought Paris Dunkin everyone morning during production as her "Crafty" breakfast and she loved it!
