The UP MACUL Conference is a dynamic, one-day professional learning event bringing the best of the MACUL Conference experience to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Taking place on May 8 at Northern Michigan University, this event focuses on innovative and practical ways to enhance teaching, learning, and leadership through educational technology. Educators, technology leaders, and administrators will come together to explore impactful tools, strategies, and best practices that support student engagement and success—while connecting with colleagues from across the region.
The purpose of the UP MACUL Conference is to:
Highlight innovative and effective uses of educational technology in teaching, learning, and school leadership
Provide practical strategies educators can implement immediately in classrooms and districts
Foster collaboration and idea-sharing among educators, technology leaders, and administrators in the Upper Peninsula
Elevate student engagement, creativity, and learning outcomes through thoughtful technology integration
Build connections between regional educators and the broader MACUL community
We invite educators at all levels, including classroom teachers, instructional coaches, technology integrators, media specialists, administrators, and district leaders, to submit a proposal. Whether you are new to presenting or a seasoned speaker, if you have a story to share, a strategy that works, or a tool that has made an impact on teaching and learning, we want to hear from you.
Sessions may highlight classroom practice, school- or district-wide initiatives, leadership perspectives, or innovative ideas that support student success through the thoughtful use of technology.
