(ADVANCED ACADEMIC ACCOUNTABILITY) 

This program provides an opportunity to learn all about successfully embracing successful time management. It is "designed to support Student-Athletes as they face the challenges of college, balancing academic performance, college life, and the demands of competing in intercollegiate athletics." 

In this program, we provide quality time management mentors whose sole purpose rests in guiding student-athletes to navigate this new world. Success Mentors meet weekly with these students to provide valuable resources and bring a strong sense of accountability while becoming accountable, caring, and positive friends in the process. 

A student in AAA will meet with a Time Management Mentor in the Learning Resource Center. Each meeting will be a conversation filled with important information and shared resources, but more importantly, aiming towards trust, friendship, and vulnerability. We hope it is a safe place to discuss our hopes, dreams, and failures. Time Management Mentors are more than willing to help and answer any questions they can about being the best you can be at MACU!

Besides the specific standards to uphold, we believe in a more profound philosophy. Because sports are an opportunity, we must do our best to maintain the fruit it deserves. We believe in the Athletic Department's ideology that "...a student who plays sports has three priorities: Having a deep relationship with Jesus, pursuing academic excellence, and lastly, winning some games." Many students need this opportunity to pursue academic excellence in such an intentional way. You will learn more than even the best academically superb students!
