Earthenware, underglaze and glaze ceramic.

This vessel was inspired by the works of Rudy Autio and Henri Matisse, both of whom I studied this year. The unconventional form was built from slab and coil construction techniques that mirror the bold forms of Autio. The playful surface drawings that follow the contours of the form were adapted from Matisse’s lyrical, linear style.
