Finalist at 'Top Arts' 2022

This piece is of people’s nightmares, such as phobias, and horror elements to evoke an uncomfortable feeling. It is a mixed-media sculpture of skin-textured tentacles bursting through the floorboards of a bathroom. It depicts fears such as trypophobia, bugs, injuries and the supernatural. Elements of a dirty, mouldy bathroom environment portray feelings of disgust. I was inspired by other people’s nightmares, as well as Karen Main’s use of polymer clay to create realistic supernatural creatures.
