Commission status: closed
I charge a flat rate for my commission types, based on an estimate of the number of hours it will take me to complete
I must be paid in AUD
The method in which I am paid varies depending on location:
Through Ko-fi, I am paid via Paypal
For International clients, I accept money via PayPal only (or by debit/credit card through PayPal, which does not require a PayPal account)
For those living in Australia, electronic funds transfer (EFT) is the preferred alternative payment method
Please do not send me content that contains lewd themes/porn/genitals as a reference. I cannot stress this enough
I will only proceed to work on a commission once the payment has been cleared. If this makes you nervous, I can work in installments
An installment is only applicable for artworks $100 or over
An installment cannot be less than $80 AUD (unless the final payment amounts to less than $80)
The maximum amount of installments I will accept is three
I will send by way of e-mail work in progress pictures to you as the client if the artwork is over $80. This typically includes:
Sketch
Coloured sketch
Refined colours (and lines, if lines are included)
Draft polish
Once the artwork is complete, you as the client will be sent by way of e-mail an original sized and un-watermarked version of the digital artwork alongside a smaller watermarked version for display
Size of the artwork depends on the commission type. Unless otherwise specified, they will be A4 300dpi. Larger sizes will incur extra costs.
If I make a mistake that requires changing late into the artworks development, or once it is finished - no additional fees will be incurred. Please ensure you try to catch me on it early though!
These mistakes include:
Missing/incorrect character design details
Missing/incorrect requested elements
These mistakes do not include:
Things you as the client forgot to include in the commission form/reference material/correspondence
I reserve my right to decline any offers for reasons such as:
The request is not suited to my expertise
Time does not permit me to complete the commission by a stated deadline
A successfully submitted commission form does not guarantee that I will choose to accept the commission in question
I reserve the right to cease work on a commission if you as the client are behaving in a way I consider abusive or exploitative
I am able to hold off submitting the commission to any public galleries if it is a time sensitive gift e.g. birthday present. Please advise me if this is applicable
I reserve all rights to the artwork. For you as the client to use the artwork commercially, an additional fee will be incurred
An additional fee will be incurred if:
The artwork is intended to sell and distribute for profit in any form, be it as-is or use for concept art/marketing/promotional material
An additional fee will not be incurred if:
The artwork is for personal use
The artwork is being printed on merchandise for you as the client use only
You as the client desire to use the artwork as an icon/banner/etc on social media accounts
I will not monetize artwork involving the original characters belonging to you as the client
I allow for my commissioned work to be publicly displayed on other galleries by you as the client but it must be the reduced resolution and watermarked version (this is to reduce the risk of art theft by third parties, basically)
I allow for my commissioned work to be cropped and used as an icon or banner by you as the client without watermark visibility
I reserve the right to use commissions for promotional material without credit to the owner of the character/s (this clutters text descriptions and takes time)
If payment is sent before I have formally accepted/denied a request - a full refund will be administered if I cannot fulfill the requirements for the artwork. Reasons include:
I do not have the expertise required to complete the job
I cannot complete the artwork by the stated deadline
Circumstances have changed and I need to close commissions faster than anticipated
I will only accept refund requests on an artwork that has not exceeded the coloured sketch phase. Valid reasons for refunds are as follows:
You as the client decide I am not the right artist for the job
You as the client are unhappy with my service, for any reason (feedback would be greatly appreciated!)
Partial refunds will be administered to successful refund requests. This is to cover the work I have already done. This includes:
Reference-gathering, communication and time spent on reading the commission form
All forms of visual planning (e.g: for complex scenes I often build a guide in Blender first)
Stages of the artwork itself
Partial refund amounts will be negotiated with you as the client since each artwork is unique in the amount of work required
I will not accept refund requests that are due to the mismanagement of the finances of you as the client
