Research Interests
My research lies within the Mathematics of Aperiodic Order, an area of Mathematics concerned with the study of physical Quasi-crystals. I am particularly interested in the Fourier Transform of Measures, Mathematical Diffraction, Almost Periodic Measures, Spectral Theory for Dynamical Systems and Meyer sets.
Physical Quasi-crystals were discovered in 1984 by Dan Shechtman, a discovery for which he was awarded 2011 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. In the recent years, the intriguing properties of quasi-crystals have led to many practical applications, some of which can be found here.
If you want to find more about this area I recommend the book Aperiodic Order Volume 1 .
