MACCRAY High School Minimum Credit Requirements
MACCRAY students need 27 credits to earn a high school diploma. Listed below are the credit requirements needed in each academic area:
Four credits of Language Arts
Composition/Literature 9 (1) • Composition/Literature 10 (1) • American Literature (.5) • British Literature (.5) • Composition 11 or Academic Writing (.5) • English Elective (.5)
Four credits of Social Studies
American History 9 (1) • American History 10 (.5) • World Geography 10 (.5) • World History (1) • Economics (.5) • Government (.5)
Three HS credits of Mathematics
Geometry (1) • Algebra II (1) • Math Elective (1)
Algebra I (1) must be completed in 8th grade to meet graduation requirements
Three credits of Science
Earth and Space Science (1) • Biology (1) • Chemistry or Food Chemistry (1)
1.5 credits of Physical Education/Health
Phy Ed 9 (.5) • Personal Wellness 10 (1)
One credit of Fine Arts**
One credit of Career and Technical Education
AgriScience 9 (.25) • Art 9 (.25) • Business 9 (.25) • Ag Manufacturing (.25)
1/2 credit of Financial Literacy
