Danielle Ahouelete (she/her) is a prospective English and Anthropology double major with a minor in Theatre and Dance, and is part of the Class of 2029. Although Romeo and Juliet will be her first Mainstage production, Danielle has participated in the Fall 2025 MacFest as a reader for student plays. Danielle is very thankful to be a part of such an amazing project, and hopes to grow not only as an actor, but as a person overall through the THDA department.

Alea (she/her) is a first year and prospective Neuroscience major. She worked tech for the 39 Steps last fall, and has played a role as Fight Captain in addition to her onstage role in Romeo and Juliet. Natasha Stoper Friedman (she/her) is a first-year potentially minoring in Theater and English. This fall, she worked as the Lighting Programmer/ Operator for The 39 Steps and acted in the Mac Fest Staged Readings (Heidi in A Well Planned Out Scheme) and the Acting/Directing Collaboration (Mother in Hunters). She would like to thank Randy, Heidi, and Anna-Lies for their leadership and her ensemble for their enthusiasm and commitment to the process.

My name is Skylar Hellman (she/her), and I am a sophomore majoring in Theater and Dance. I am so very grateful to be part of this wonderful cast and to have the privilege of making art during times of such immense State violence. Destiny Kromah is a classically trained singer and an experienced dancer, who has been performing professionally for four years. In high-school, they participated in Hennepin Theatre Trust’s Triple Threat Experience for two years and won a trip to New York to further develop their craft. In the Minneapolis area, Destiny has booked roles including Syreeta in Pillsbury House's debut of A Pick for the Hair of the Black Kids That Don’t Wanna Be Gangstas, and multiple roles in Rough Magic’s The Macbeths.
Alec/Aleya Martin '28

Alec/Aleya (any/all) is a sophomore from Seattle, Washington, and is delighted to be once again causing issues onstage at Mac. Previous roles include Dracula in Dracula: A Feminist Revenge Fantasy, Really; Richard Hannay in The 39 Steps; and a totally competent student in her day to day college life. Aleya is majoring in Theater and Dance with a Japanese minor. She is so excited to finally be doing a full production of Shakespeare and cannot wait to interact with all of you on this truly one-of-a-kind stage. Enjoy the show!

Outside of pronouncing innuendos in Shakespearean, she likes to go on long walks, eat mind-blowing food ,and play dress up with her friends. Cem (Any/All) is excited to be part of a Macalester Theater production once again and to finally be performing Shakespeare after years of acting and directing. Their previous performances include The 39 Steps from last semester and the 2024 directors collab at Macalester as well as several others elsewhere. Cem would like to express their love and appreciation for the talent, creativity, and drive of all of the artists in crew and cast who worked together to make this performance possible despite the current state of the world.

Sam (she/her) is a sophomore from Millcreek City, Utah, and is beyond excited for her second acting debut at Macalester after The 39 Steps, and work as an Assistant Director for Holmes and Watson. Sam is majoring in Theatre, minoring in Japanese Studies, and currently working in the Scene Shop as a carpenter. She would like to thank her professors at Mac for helping her fall more and more in love with all aspects of the theater, her friends for sticking by her, and her family for always being there.

I am so grateful to be part of this amazing and unique production of Romeo and Juliet; I previously played Watson in Holmes and Watson last spring and I look forward to being part of other productions in the future! Thank you to my wonderful family that will certainly attend too many showings of this performance. Thank you as well to my relentlessly intriguing and beautiful household, and especially to Owen, I don't know how I'd consistently eat dinner without you.
