Alma Capone is a sophomore and English minor at Macalester College (she plans on declaring a Political Science major any day now). She participated in Mac Fest last year as an actor and is excited to be part of it again as a playwright. Alma would like to thank her friends, her family, and her fellow Mac Fest collaborators for making today possible.
Grey Henry is a sophomore environmental studies major. You may have seen them on stage during the last MacFest staged readings and they are back again, this time with a script of their own. They would like to thank Jarek for their mentorship and Alma and Beja for their help in workshopping this piece.
Beja Puškášová (she/her) is a senior Theater and English major at Mac. She writes poetry and plays that are almost always about trans motherhood and menstruation. She would like to thank her Playwriting classmates, as well as teachers, Jarek and Alayna, for supporting her passion for writing.
Sam is excited to work as the director for this year's MacFest! She is currently a sophomore double majoring in Theater & Dance and Economics, emphasizing directing in her theatrical focus.
Adelaide is a sophomore and an Environmental Studies Major. Outside of theatre, she is on Macalester's premiere improv team, Fresh Concepts, enjoys going on long walks and looking at the sky.
Jarek Pastor is a transdisciplinary theatremaker and educator. Their work moves with a tonal dynamism to enact absurdist portraits of social systems from a mixed race/bilingual/transnational perspective. The result is a theater of being more than the expected doing—of presence and acquaintance more than deed and explanation. Their work has been supported by the Playwrights’ Center and New York Foundation for the Arts among others.
