Natasha Friedman (she/her) is a first-year student from Chicago considering a Theater minor and is ecstatic to perform in her THDA department debut. She has participated in theatre throughout her life, most recently playing Bobbie in Company by Stephen Sondheim at her high school. She would like to thank Alma, Sam, and Adelaide for their leadership and skill in bringing this production to life.
My name is Agnes Chen (she/her), and I’m a first-year student at Macalester. My intended major is creative writing, with minors in history and/or computer science. This is my first project with the THDA department, and I’m anticipated to join the Spring 2026 productions as well! A huge thank you to my FYC professor kt, my International Students Program (ISP) mentor and FYC preceptor Beja, and the MacFest production team for this opportunity and for all the valuable lessons throughout the rehearsal process.
Violet is a first-year at Macalester and this is her first experience with the Mac Theater Department, but she was an active member of her high school's theater department. In the past, she has played Tanya in Mamma Mia!, Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Principal Clark in Footloose. She hopes you enjoy the show!
Cem (pronounced Gem) is happy and proud to be participating in MacFest this year. Their other shows at Mac include the 2024-2025 Directing collab shows and the upcoming 39 Steps this Fall. Lastly they hope you enjoy the show and have fun.
My name is Tara (she/her) and this year am I interpreting the character of Amaryllis in the play Gabriela. I am in my first year, taking two theater classes: THDA120 and THDA105, yet my major is still undeclared. I am quite passionate about the arts of creation and have a solid theatrical background outside and inside of academic framework. I am grateful to be a part of MacFest and cannot wait to reveal what’s hiding behind the curtains. Enjoy!
Laurence is an English / Japanese dual major, with a minor in theater! She loves alternative fashion, and j-fashion. This Macfest is her first involvement with the MAC Theater community; she is really enjoying it so far, and anticipates more MAC theater involvement in the future!
