About the Projects

These Story Maps are the final projects for GEOG-368, Health GIS, Fall semester 2023 in the Geography Department at Macalester College. In this class, we flex the spatial-analytical side of medical geography, using GIS and statistical software to analyze the spatial distribution of diseases and other health problems, and to generate hypotheses about the causes of those patterns.  The class was taught by Eric Carter with the assistance of Ashley Nepp, GIS Lab Coordinator.
