Over the last few years, I have become fascinated by the human brain and nervous system. Before joining the MARC program, I had done an exploratory project related to spinal cord injuries and neural decoding (with applications for prosthetic technology) which was my first introduction to the field of neuroscience. Since joining the MARC program, I have become interested in studying neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Alzheimer's disease. I have partnered with Dr. Stephanie Miller and Katie Ly from the Palop Lab at the Gladstone Institutes at UCSF where I trained and shadowed last summer.

Outside of my research interests, I am a passionate musician. I have been playing drums since I was just two, and over the last few years, I have begun to produce my own original digital music. You can often find me performing with my friends or in multiple bands at local venues around Marin, and I spend the majority of my free time during the school day playing music with my friends in the music rooms. Beyond music, I love to play basketball and tennis, and I play on both varsity teams at MA. I also love to scuba dive, go on sunset drives, and spend lots of time with my friends and family.
