Background
Hi, my name is Tenzing Lasker and I'm a junior at Marin Academy. I love STEM, especially theoretical physics and math. As a passionate environmentalist, I have been fascinated by nuclear fusion as a renewable energy source. I applied to MARC ISR with the intention of conducting nuclear fusion simulation research. I hope to contribute to the process of fusion commercialization to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Relevant courses: Geometry (H), Algebra II (H), Precalculus (H), Biology, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (H)
Personal
Outside of school, I am competitive rock climber and classical and rock pianist. Additionally, I run the Marin Chapter of a chess teaching nonprofit called Chesspals. I teach chess to kids in under-resourced elementary schools. I love spending time with friends and family, being in nature (especially climbing and fly fishing!), and playing and listening to music.
