Research Interests

This past year I became interested in the use of zebrafish as a research model for developmental biology. I find the process of zebrafish heart regeneration through gene editing or stem cells fascinating. After learning to comprehend research papers, I read around 15 research papers, then synthesized the relevant information for my 7-page literature review. Then, I utilized my findings to create a research project proposal that showcased my research interest, which I presented at the MARC ISR I Poster Presentations. I am currently searching to connect with a research mentor to collaborate with.
