ABOUT ME

Background

The unique opportunity to pursue an independent research project in which I am provided the resources to learn how to and then subsequently work through professional research, as well as the chance to make a real impact on the world as a high school student drew me to the MARC program.

I am currently working with Dr. David Helman who leads the Modeling and Monitoring Vegetation Systems Lab of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Credentials/Experience

Science: Advanced Biology, Advanced Physics with Calc

Mathematics: Pre-Calculus, Advanced Calc

Additional Summer Courses (all with JHU): Inductive/Deductive Reasoning, Cryptology, Probability/Game Theory

Accomplishments: 2nd Place in the region in California Math League competition (2017)

Languages: Proficient in Spanish and Italian

Motivation

I have always been inspired by making a difference in the world, however small that difference may be. I believe my work with satellite imaging in the MARC program gives me the opportunity to do this as I will be helping to advance the accuracy of weather and water concentration predicters in order to provide farmers with information to optimize their resources.
