Background
Hi, my name is Chip Sutro, and I am a high school junior at Marin Academy. I am from Marin County, California, and have always been very super passionate about science, and specifically the natural world. The MARC program has been a life changing experience, exposing me to the field of research extremely early in my science career. I hope that I can contribute to a better understanding of congenital developmental conditions and how the human body comes to be.
Personal
Outside of science, I love everything outdoors. I have been playing lacrosse for the past 10 years, and continue to play for my high school team and attend off-season tournaments. I am a member of Marin County Search and Rescue, and am always exploring new hiking and running trails around Marin with my dog, Tucker. At school, I captain the mock trial team, am an admissions leader, and coach public speaking through Crossroads. Most of all, I enjoy hanging out with my friends, listening to music, and watching movies with my family.
