BACKGROUND
I am a junior at Marin Academy in San Rafael, California. For my whole live I have been someone who is always asking questions. In particular, I strive to understand the human brain and human behavior... why do we think and behave the way we do, and how do neural processes shape our experiences? This curiosity has led me to explore cognitive neuroscience through the Marin Academy Research Collaborative’s two-year Independent STEM Research Program.
PERSONAL
Outside of academics, I am a passionate environmentalist, leading my school's climate action club and co-chairing a local youth-run climate nonprofit (BAYCS). Additionally, at MA, I co-lead the session curation team for our school's annual conference on democracy and am involved with our Field Hockey program. In my remaining free time, you can surely catch me working at my beloved job (Sloat Garden Center), spending time with my friends and family, or hiking on Mt. Tam.
appreciations
I am incredibly grateful for the incredible support and guidance from Dr Zanto, UCSF, Amy Strauss, the Marin Academy Science Department, and my incredible MARC ISR peers. This project would not be possible without all of you.
