Hi! My name is Izzy Bergholt, and I am a junior at Marin Academy. I have always been fascinated by the way humans behave and how our world works, and through the MARC program, I have been able to explore all of these interests. Through exploration and familial ties, I have decided to focus my research on Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer, and I hope that our findings can improve the quality of life of patients battling NSCLC.
In my free time I run XC, play soccer, and run track and field, all of which I have been competing in since a young age. Through my love for running, I have been able to explore the beautiful nature of Marin County and beyond! In school, I am also the vice president of MA, pursue my passion of teaching through crossroads and peer tutoring, practice my debate skills through being a captain of Mock Trial, and serve on the board of Youth Grants. But most importantly, I love playing guitar, cooking with friends, and spending time with my family.
