April 2026 ~ Dr. Amandine Gamble has agreed to become my mentor! From now until summer, I will continue expanding my R skills and become more familiar with the data sets. Super brief summary, but we will be looking at H5N1 HPAI antibody prevalence in gentoo penguins across time and place in the Falkland Islands.
March 2026 ~ I had my call with Dr. Amandine Gamble who is at Cornell Vet School, she does research on pathogen dynamics with sea birds and is very involved with the HPAI research efforts in the sub-Antarctic and Antarctica. I was super sick during the call and basically didn't have a voice but she seemed positive to mentoring and sent a more formal "project proposal" the following day!!!
