Meet the Podcasters

Podcaster: Katie

I'm Katie, I love to read. I like to read because it helps me escape real life for a moment. I have aphantasia, so I can't picture things in my mind at all. But with reading, it's almost like I'm in the story.

I hope to accomplish getting more people to read for fun. A lot of kids nowadays can't separate reading from hobby and school. They think it's boring, and that heavily contributes to illiteracy rates. The average reading rate of American adults is sixth grade.

I'm excited to be a part of this podcast and convince people to read more for fun.
