Kindergarten
The kindergarten students are engineering using My XL World by Lego.
My XL World is designed to develop children’s social skills and deepen their understanding of the world around them through role play, fun building activities and idea sharing.

We will be using a variety of books to incorporate literacy into engineering. Some building challenges that will be completed are:

First Grade
The 1st grade students are engineering using Lego blocks. Students will learn how to effectively use the engineering design process to solve problems. The engineering design process emphasizes open-ended problem solving and encourages students to learn from failure. This process nurtures students' abilities to create innovative solutions to challenges in any subject! Some labs the students will have:

Second Grade
The 2nd grade students are engineering using BricQ Motion Prime Lego kits. Students will build upon their building skills from the previous year and solve more complex challenges. Some challenges the students will have:
Dog Obstacle Courses and the Iditarod
Dance Party and Musical Instruments
Different Types of Vehicle Design
Third Grade TAG
The 3rd grade talented and gifted students will be transported via bus one day a week from their home school to the middle school. Pick-up will be at 11:00 am. Students will eat lunch and complete their challenges during class time. They will be dropped off at their home school at approximately 1:15 pm.
Some of the units the TAG students will work on:

Fourth Grade TAG
The 4th grade talented and gifted students will be transported via bus one day a week from their home school to the middle school. Pick-up will be at 11:00 am. Students will eat lunch and complete their challenges during class time. They will be dropped off at their home school at approximately 1:15 pm.

Fifth Grade TAG
The 5th grade talented and gifted students will be transported via bus one day a week from their home school to the middle school. Pick-up will be at 11:00 am. Students will eat lunch and complete their challenges during class time. They will be dropped off at their home school at approximately 1:15 pm.
