Hannah Givens
Director of Volleyball (Indoor & Beach)
Hannah Givens joined the Lynchburg volleyball staff as a graduate assistant after a four-year playing career at Wingate University in Wingate, N.C., where she helped lead the Bulldogs to the NCAA Division II national quarterfinal as a senior. She was promoted to interim head coach in April 2020 and named the full-time head coach of the program in March of 2021. Givens was recognized by the AVCA's 30 Under 30 program in June 2023. In October of 2021, the University announced the addition of women's beach volleyball and tabbed Givens as director of volleyball, giving her oversight of both programs.
Lynchburg hit the ground running in Givens' first season at the helm, tying the program record for conference wins in a season with eight. The Hornets finished 9-7 overall and reached the Old Dominion Athletic Conference tournament quarterfinals. Three Hornet players earned All-ODAC honors for their parts in the season's success. In 2022, she guided the Hornets to a 7-4 mark in conference play and saw two more players named All-ODAC.
Givens was an All-Southeast Region pick by the American Volleyball Coaches Association and a second-team All-South Atlantic Conference selection as a senior. She was also included on the Division II Southeast Regional's all-tournament team and won Wingate's Breakthrough Female Athlete of the Year award in 2018-19. Givens was a member of three SAC championship teams and four NCAA tournament teams in her collegiate career.
The Greensburg, Ky., native graduated from Wingate with a bachelor's degree in political science and holds a master’s in nonprofit leadership from Lynchburg.
Olivia Killelea
Assistant Coach (Indoor & Beach)
Olivia Killelea (nee Becker) joined Lynchburg's volleyball and beach volleyball staff in March 2023. She came to the Hill City after spending the previous eight seasons as a part of Covenant's volleyball program.
Killelea served as the Scots' assistant coach from 2020-2022 in which Covenant won 52 matches in that span. The Scots won the Collegiate Conference of the South Tournament in 2022 and played Berry in the NCAA tournament.
Killelea played for the Scots while earning her undergraduate degree in mathematics. She served as a student assistant and graduate assistant on the Covenant staff from 2018-2020. Killelea and the Scots made their first NCAA tournament appearance in program history in 2015. The Scots won their first NCAA tournament game against Birmingham Southern in 2017.
After graduating from Covenant in 2019, Killelea earned her Master's of Education in 2020.
