Is there a file size limit for instructor file uploads?
Yes. Files must be smaller than 512MB in order to be uploaded to your Moodle course page.
Can changes to grade book category weights be made during the semester?
Yes. When changes are made to the category weights, the category and final grades will recalculate. It is important that you let your students know of the changes and that may notice changes on the grades in Moodle.
Can individual students be given additional quiz attempts without editing the quiz settings for all students?
Individual students can be given additional quiz attempts or extended time limits using the User Overrides feature in Quiz Administration.
Can DVDs be displayed to students in an online environment?
Yes. Please contact Jay Proffitt for assistance putting the DVD recording online for posting on your Moodle course page.
Can the suggested videos be eliminated at the end of an embedded YouTube video?
Suggested videos can no longer be eliminated, but you can force the suggested videos to all be from your YouTube channel. By adding ?rel=0 to the end of the URL in the embed code.

Can class list email addresses be used to add students to a calendar event?
Unfortunately, class list emails addresses (addresses ending in lists.lynchburg.edu) cannot be used to add your class roster to calendar events or Google Meet invitation messages.
Can the captions feature within Google Meet be used to display other languages for foreign language courses?
No. Currently, the captions feature is only available for English.
Is there a time limit on Google Meet calls?
No. Google Meet call recordings have no time limit. However, if you are recording a lecture or slide presentation for asynchronous delivery, it is suggested that you create shorter 7-10 minutes videos and post them separately.
Can a professor start a Google Meet recording and have the recording continue when he leaves the call?
Yes. The Google Meet call needs to be created by the instructor and recording started before the instructor leaves the call. The call will be delivered to the instructor’s Google Drive upon completion and processing.
