Monday May 25th

Your homework this week is a little different! During our monday zooms we looked at different jobs and did a little quiz together. I want you to read over the work we did in class and then try to do a kahoot!

Kahoot is easy, we've used it in class. You just need to go here and do the quiz:

Hey guys!

Today on Zoom we talked about the verb tense present continuous(or present progressive, same thing!) I made a little video to review what we have learned. Didn't make it to zoom today? Why don't you send me some sentences with

I am.........

She is.........

We are.......

They are.......

You are.........

Remember all your verbs end in ING (ie. I am walkING) We will go this again on thursday to make sure you understand, see you then!

Tuesday May 12th

Welcome Back! I hope you all had a fantastic break and I look forward to hearing about all the stuff you did. That's you homework this week. On zoom on thursday I'll be asking each of you to tell or show me what cool things you did during the holidays. OR you can make me a video or write me some sentences about your holiday if you prefer.

I stayed home. I played...... I watched.... I ate.....

Have a good week!

Friday, April 24th

Hey guys!

One last video before the holidays to tell you how awesome you all are! I'm so proud of you all and the work that you're done. Have a great break!

Wednesday April 22nd

Today is Earth Day! Earth Day is a movement that started 50 years ago today, when people decided to say STOP! WE'RE DESTROYING THE ENVIRONMENT! With the CMs, I talked about why it is important and I made a drawing to submit to the Artists for the Earth gallery on the earth day website. Check it out! There's lots going on today!

I'm also going to put a link to me reading my favourite earth day story, the Lorax. I'll put up the pdf too if you want to try reading it yourself. It's a tricky book because Dr.Seuss makes up so many words but it's great book to read aloud as it helps with pronunciation.

Earth day is pretty important. What are some things that we can do to help the Environment?

Tuesday April 14th

Hello!

In today's video I talk about how I love looking at old family photos. I'm sure your parents have some lying around. Why don't you ask to see them?

Monday April 13th

HI CE2s!

This weeks project is to make your family tree. What's a family tree? Its when you write down all the people in your family (your brother, sisters, parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, etc) Watch the video for some vocabulary to help you out and have a look at my example!

Try to make your tree like mine, start with your name at the bottom and then add your brothers and sisters, you parents, your aunts, uncles and cousins and finally your grandparents. You can send me a video explaining it or just send me a photo. Don't forget to label who is who like I did!

Friday, April 10

It's been great seeing your show and tell videos all week! If you haven't made yours yet and need some inspiration, here is Paulina and Stefaniia telling us about the things they love.

Tuesday April 7th

I've done another show and tell. This time with my good friend Harry Potter!

I also go over how to form questions with Who, What, Where, When and Why. Enjoy!

Monday April 6

Hey guys!

This week's project is a virtual show and tell! I want you to find your FAVOURITE thing. (ie. a toy, a game, food, your dog, your cat, a person, anything!) and tell me about it. You can use these questions to help you:

What is it?

When did you get it?

Who gave it to you?

Where is it from?

Why do you like it?

I'll be giving you examples of things I love and some vocabulary to help you out on the blog this week so be sure to check it out.

Thursday, April 2

I wanted to share some videos I received of Mate, Antigoni and Eloise making and playing their games. How cool!

Wednesday April 1st

Happy April Fools!

Today is a day to have a laugh and play some tricks on each other!

What kind of tricky things can you think of?

Joseph II suggests we could all eat some brownies...get it? BROWN-E s!!! Hahaha

I also wanted to give you some more vocabulary to help with your projects and videos. Remember prepositions? We worked on these last year but sometimes it's good to be reminded of things we've already learned.

Tuesday March 31st

Need inspiration for your game or challenge? I found these cool videos!

Monday March 30th

This week in English I would like you to make a game! You can make a dominos race, one of those cool Rube Goldberg machines like we saw in class, a scavenger hunt or a treasure map. You can make an obstacle course or a race with your siblings. Be creative and have fun! Once you have made your game you can send me photos or a video explaining it.

Be sure to watch the videos on the blog where I will help give you ideas and some specific vocabulary words to help you out.

Tip #4 for having fun in isolation is music!

Today we have a special guest! My husband Lucas is going to talk to us about playing the guitar. We made this video for the CMs so it might be a bit difficult to understand but give it a try anyway.

Then, I want you to try something. I've attached a song that's recorded in a special way. I want you to get some headphones(this part is important) go and sit somewhere, close your eyes and listen. Isn't it cool? Try listening to some other songs with just headphones and your eyes closed. It's amazing the things we can hear when we really listen.

Thursday March 26th

Tip # 3 for having fun in isolation is to cook!

Here's me in the kitchen telling you the names of somethings you might need.

Tuesday March 24th

Tip #2 For having fun in isolation is to do some art!

You can do drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, you can work digitally or on paper. But send me your art! I would love to see it!

Monday March 23rd

Instructions for this week: Have fun! (and film/take photos of yourself doing it)

We know isolation can be boring, so I thought I'd put together a little book of what you guys are doing to entertain yourselves! The instructions are easy: pick an activity you love to do, have someone take a photo or video of you doing it, and send it to me with a little note saying what you are doing and why you enjoy it.(kristina.dutton@lyceeadk.com) One rule: pick an activity that doesn't involve a screen(no video games!), play a board game, paint, cook, dance! We're on our computers a lot right now, for this activity, put them away.

Have your recycling monsters help! I'm sure they want to play too. I will be sending you videos all week to help inspire you. Check out todays:

Friday March 20th

It was so great to see you all on zoom. Here's a video introducing you to my recycling monster. She doesn't have a name yet, any suggestions?

Have a great weekend!

Wednesday, March 18th

We have a special guest today! Trish is going to take us on a walk through the super market! Can you imagine all the funny looks she must have gotten while making this video? Enjoy!

Monday March 16th

I have received a lot of your house plans from last week and they look great! If you haven't sent me yours yet there's still plenty of time. Just a reminder of my email: kristina.dutton@lyceeadk.com

I have a new video today! This week we're going to be a bit more creative. I want you to use the things you have around your house to build something, like a monster or a robot! For today, all you have to do is build and then later in the week I'll give you some more instructions. Have fun!

Check out this magnificent creation from Joseph II!

Have you made your monsters yet?

Thursday March 12th

Hello!

This is what I would like you to do for English while the school is closed.

Task 1: I would like for you to draw and label the plan of your house as though you were looking at it from above. Make sure you write the names for the rooms and you can even write the names for the furniture(bed, couch, table, etc) Follow my example and watch the video for vocabulary. If you get stuck, you can email me or try to use google translate to help you out with worlds you don't know. When you are finished, take a picture and have a parent help you email it to me at kristina.dutton@lyceeadk.com
